Gucci Mane Pleads Guilty to Firearms Charge

Gucci Mane has been sentenced to 39 months and requested drug rehab out west.
Looks like Gucci won’t be home any time soon. After the Alabama rapper pleaded guilty to possession of a Glock 40-caliber handgun and 11 rounds of ammunition, the judge made the final ruling sentencing him to 39 months. The charge stems from an incident that took place last September. Since Gucci had been in jail since September 2013, he has 28 more months to complete as well as three years of probation. If this plays out, Gucci will likely be released in December 2016. Oddly enough, according to the Atlanta Journal-Consitution, the “Lemonde” rapper requested to leave Atlanta and:
“asked the judge to recommend he serve his sentence in a west coast prison with a drug rehab program to allow him to get away from local influences in Atlanta.”
