Nas is taking advantage of his last year signed to Def Jam Recordings by releasing one last album under the major record label.
"Finished up my new album/ Single about to be dropping/ Last album on Def Jam and I got so many options," the rapper spits on the remix to ScHoolboy Q's "Studio," also featuring BJ the Chicago Kid.
The new album follows up the re-issue of the rapper's legendary debut album,Illmatic. Prior to releasing IllmaticXX, Nas released 2012 Life Is Good, which was reported to be his last album on Def Jam.
A representative confirms with Billboard that Nas has another album coming under the Def Jam Recordings umbrella.
Nas recently launched the Mass Appeal Records, on which he's signed Boldy James, Bishop Nehru and Fashawn. The first release coming from Mass Appeal Records will be a compilation featuring Future, Pusha T, Mac Miller, A$AP Moband Nas. Also, Mass Appeal will release Nas' Lost Tapes 2, a collection of unreleased has music, and a posthumous album from the late Pimp C.
