KINGSTON, Jamaica -- A minor earthquake, magnitude 3.9, was felt in western Jamaica about 2:02pm Saturday, the Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies has reported.
The quake, located northwest of Green Island in Hanover, was felt in Negril, Westmoreland and surrounding areas.
Friday night an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 jolted several Caribbean countries, including Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.
The quake, which occurred about10:00 pm and was located north of the Paria Peninsula in Trinidad, was also felt in Grenada and St Vincent.
