2013 has been a whirlwind year for One Direction, not to mention for their fans. Niall, Harry, Zayn, Liam and Louis have just completed their phenomenal 'Take Me Home' world tour, which included more than 100 shows. They wowed fans in Australia, Asia, Europe and North America. As they get older, the band members are developing their sound. In May, while they were still working on the album, Liam explained that it would be "rockier" than their previous work and a bit more edgy. In the past, the boys worked a lot with other songwriters, such as Ed Sheeran, to develop their albums. That's changed a bit with Midnight Memories, as they have taken greater control of writing tracks. So this album will be coming straight from the heart and should show off all the boys' musical talents. Niall, who has been playing guitar his whole life, even provides instrumental backing for some tracks.
Even though it won't be released for another month, Midnight Memories has already become the fastest-selling album in Amazon's 15-year history. This record reminds us what a special group One Direction is. They are loved by their fans, admired by everyone in the musical world, hard-working and completely committed to their music. Of course, they don't look bad either!
