Gomez 'settles perfume lawsuit'

Selena Gomez has reportedly agreed to pay six figures to end a lawsuit filed against her by a perfumer.

The 21-year-old pop star was sued by Adrenalina, Inc. earlier this year amid claims she failed to follow through on her promotional commitments after the firm spent $2 million on research and development on a fragrance line she had allegedly agreed to back.

According to settlement documents obtained by TMZ, the case has been dismissed.

However, sources tell the outlet Selena 'will cough up a six-figure sum to end the suit'.

The website suggests that figure could swell due to 'another component to the settlement' that was not described.

TMZ reported at the time of the original filing in April executives at Adrenalina had accused Selena and her agent of fabricating reasons to end the scent deal.

As the celebrity apparently failed to attend important meetings for promotion, they claimed they were left without a spokesperson.

Adrenalina was seeking undisclosed damages and also asked the court to stop her from pulling out of the deal.

Spokespersons from both parties have not commented publicly on reports of the settlement.

Selena has meanwhile been focussed on her acting and singing careers as of late.

The star most recently appeared in Courtney Solomon drama Getaway with Ethan Hawke and will next feature in Tim Garrick comedy Behaving Badly, scheduled for release next year.
