KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica fought back to draw with Honduras, coming from behind twice to end the score at 2-2 in the World Cup qualifier at the National Stadium in Kingston Tuesday night.
The first stanza ended 2-1 in favour of the visitors with goals from Carlo Costly and Brayan Figueroa of Honduras and Deshorn Brown of the Reggae Boyz.
Jamaica drew level after 59 minutes when a Jermaine ‘Tuffy’ Anderson shot ended in a handball by the Honduras defence and a penalty for Jamaica. Captain Rodolph Austin dutifully buried the spot kick to equalise for the Reggae Boyz.
Honduras despite the draw have qualified for Brazil 2014.
In other matches Tuesday night Costa Rica defeated Mexico 2-1 and the US defeated Panama 3-2.
