God A God comes on the heels of Jamaica Land We Love and So Heartless featuring DA Jay, both released in May this year. They were produced by Notice Production and J-Projek, respectively.

In 2006, the former Papine High student won Female Vocalist of the Year in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) 'In-School Festival'. She was rewarded with a scholarship to attend the Edna Manley School of Visual and Performing Arts.
Subsequently, she placed second in the 2011 Digicel Rising Star Competition.
Latty J describes herself as a soulful singer.
"Whatever I'm singing, I know the audience will feel it. I think when you can relate to the music it will impact on you more," she said.
