NW St Ann MP to start free night school in constituency

ST ANN, Jamaica -- North West St Ann Member of Parliament Dr Dayton Campbell has issued a call for 750 people to be recruited for a free night school programme that is set to begin in his constituency in January 2014.
Subject areas that the programme will focus on include Mathematics, English Language, Principles of Business and Office Procedures. According to a release from the People’s National Party (PNP )Friday, the plan is to start with Principles of Business for one year and then move on to the other subject areas.


The three-hour classes are scheduled for twice weekly at Addison Park, Discovery Bay All-Age School, Runaway Bay All-Age and Bamboo Primary and Junior High. There is no age limit for the programme and registration will take place at the constituency office in Brown’s Town.
“The lots of the masses of the people can only be improved by empowering them through education to become self-reliant and independent," Dr Campbell responded when asked about the aim of the programme.
