Robin: Paula's my groupie

Robin Thicke gets his wife Paula Patton to play groupie while they have sex to his music.

The Blurred Lines singer has been married to actress Paula for eight years, though the pair have actually been together since Robin was 14.

Causing controversy over the summer, first with the raunchy video that accompanied his Blurred Lines smash hit featuring topless women, and then his infamous twerking performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV VMA awards, Robin says he only has eyes for his wife.

"The spice is not our problem. We're over spiced. We could probably take a few spices off the shelf.

"In fact, she likes to do it more than ever now. Sometimes she'll even play groupie for me," he laughed to Elle magazine.

Although Robin admits that he's that "scmaltzy" kind of guy who scatters rose petals on the floor and buys his wife chocolates, their relationship isn't always perfect.

The 36-year-old joked that when the pair fight the golf clubs need to be locked away, because their arguments are so fiery.

"If you don't fight, then you don't care. If you're not fighting for the relationship, you need to move on. We both have unpredictable careers. We work in sensitive fields where people are talking about your height, your weight, your skin colour, your talent, your Twitter followers.

"A lot of times, a fight is because you didn't like the way the other person responded. You didn't have time to help them properly. There are so many little things you can fight about when you're in love," he admitted.

Robin's way with the ladies was taught to him by his father, Growing Pains actor Alan Thicke.

Robin remembers that after his mother and father divorced, his dad would have a string of beautiful ladies staying at the house.

"He was always very intuitive. And very smooth. He didn't really tell me what to do. He told me what not to do, which is actually more important," Robin reminisced.
