UNIONDALE, New York -- Police have responded to a school on Long Island after pepper spray was released into one of the classrooms.
The incident took place at Northern Parkway School in Uniondale.
Authorities say the school was evacuated after a student released pepper spray in one of the classrooms.
The air quality in the school was tested, and students were allowed back in just before noon.
It is not clear what if any disciplinary action will be taken against the student.
