'Miracle' baby was alive in morgue 10 hours after being declared dead

A baby born in Colombia was pronounced dead but discovered alive in the hospital morgue 10 hours later. The baby was born at just 27 weeks via cesarean section at St. Francis hospital in Quidbo, but doctors found no signs of life, and the infant was taken to the morgue. When her father arrived, both the dad and the morgue staff were shocked to hear faint wailing coming from the box. The baby was rushed to the Santa Teresita del Nino Jesus clinic in Bogota, where she's in intensive care and being treated for her underdeveloped lungs. Dr. Javier Zagarra told a local newspaper that premature babies have incredibly faint heartbeats, which is why likely why doctors at the first hospital thought she was dead. The child has been named Milagros, meaning "miracles."
