KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tessanne Chin, winner of The Voice was the main guest on 'Hollywood Headlines' on NBC Wednesday morning.
Following her historic win on Tuesday night, Chin has been making headline across America.
Speaking with Roxanne Vargas via video chat, Chin said she was still in shock and a state of euphoria, adding that the fact that she won still has not sunk in.
"I feel and incredible willingness and joy to respect my country, my nation. Not just my country but the Caribbean...that's where I'm from and they were the first to applaud me," she said adding that she is proud to be representing her people in such a positive light.
Chin's final performance on The Voice was an original song 'Tumbling Down' written for the winner by OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder.
"There were so many things that were going through my head. I absolutely love this song and I was hoping it would be mine and now it is mine," Chin said.
In an interview after the show ended, Chin took a moment to speak about her husband, Michael Cuffe Jr.
"My husband is such a patient man. It takes a strong man to allow his woman to shine and he has been that," Chin said.
The Voice will return on February 24, 2014 with R&B singer Usher and Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira reclaiming their spots as judges, reuniting with regulars Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
