Hiyah Grade set to blaze Negril stage

Roots rock reggae band Hiyah Grade is set to ignite the resort town of Negril, Westmoreland, with their usual sizzling performance, at Reggae Beach Jamm, tomorrow, at Sunset On The Beach Resorts, Negril.
The event is the second of the Hiyah Reggae Series, and is being staged by MussBuss Imaging & Ent. Productions, in collaboration with Flexrich Vibrations and the management of Sunset On The Beach Resorts.
Hiyah Grade, managed by Desires Production, which comprises lead vocalist Franz Harrison, keyboardist André Salmon, bass guitarist and saxophonist Alex Lawson, drummer Recardo Callaghan, and band director/vocalist/guitarist Lowell Lawson, is recognised as potent performers, as their recent performances in and around Negril have left patrons simply awestruck.
The band has produced a number of singles in recent times which are receiving moderate airplay. Some of these singles included Journey, Angel in My Life, and Marcus Garvey Says.
"We aspire to give our audiences the best. We always focus on creativity and shun mediocrity, as it relates to our performances. Hiyah Grade gives nothing less than 100% at all our shows, that is why we get such excellent responses", band director and guitarist Lowell Lawson told THE STAR.
Hiyah Grade will be performing alongside reggae singer Hezron who is expected to bring his usual soulful renditions of his singles, So In LoveCant Tek Di PressureCan't Come BetweenForever and Always, and Ina Di Ghetto, to name a few.
The event will also feature sound system juggling by DJ Medz, and performances from a few up-and-coming artistes from Negril, like Jah Pure, Ras Marco, Ali, Montana, Dameo, Whisky Bagio, and others.
Part proceeds from this event will be donated to the Whitehall Estate Early Childhood Institution, in aid of their development fund.
