It's been way too long since we heard new music from Nicki Minaj. But she rectified that on Friday morning (January 10) by posting a video with a sneak listen to a new, untitled song in which she shows off her funky bilingual flow.
Though the audio is sketchy, alter ego Rosa slips into the mix, rapping, "It's me yo, the CEO, diamond bezel yo necesito," over a spare, dancehall reggae-style beat. Minaj has not announced when she will release the follow-up to 2012's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, but the new track might be a sign that she's working on her third studio album.
And while she doesn't appear in the Instagram video — which was shot in a studio lit with disco lights, with a pair of pink Beats by Dre headphones front and center — Minaj also posted a string of new selfies that should satisfy her nearly 4 million followers until official news drops.
Grabbing her breast, licking her fingers and mugging for the camera, Nick looks happy in the snaps, which include one shot that, well, you'll have to look for yourself.
She also took a minute to offer thanks and retweet some props fromLorde, in which the "Royals" singer wrote, "That remix of 'Boss Ass Bitch' is the f---ing BUSINESS. Nicki wins everything. There is no competition."
