Fans who sued Michael Jackson's doctor for emotional distress after the pop icon passed away were awarded one euro each by a French court.
The DailyMail Wednesday reported that a group of Jackson's fans sued Dr Conrad Murray, the doctor allegedly responsible for giving Jackson a lethal dose of anesthetics in 2009.
Out of 34 complainants, five fans from France, Belgium and Switzerland were awarded one euro, equivalent to approximately US $1.36 each.
The report said the court, located south of Paris ruled five of the complainants had indeed suffered “emotional damage”.
Jackson died at his rented mansion in the Holmby Hills district of LA in June 2009 following an overdose of anesthetic propofol.
Following years of attempting to hide from the spotlight, he was preparing a 'comeback tour' at the O2 in London.
Jackson was 51-years-old.
