TRIBUTES CONTINUE TO POUR IN TO IRIEFM AND ZIPFM, FOLLOWING THE DEATH OF MANAGING DIRECTOR CHAD YOUNG YESTERDAY

Within hours of the news of the passing yesterday (Thurs) of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Irie Fm and Zip 103fm Chad Young, tributes have been coming in to the stations.
Mr. Young died after a short illness at his home in Ocho Rios, Saint Ann, with family members by his bedside.
He was 27 years old.
Among those sending condolences to the stations and employees of Zip and Iriefm, are entertainers, media personalities and many on social media.
Those paying tribute remarked to his youthfulness and his humility, his down to earth personality and his hard work.
Chad Young had taken over Grove Broadcasting Company, owners of Irie and Zipfm, from his father Karl Young, who founded the company and who died less than 4 years ago.
Since that time, Chad Young strutted a path of straightening the radio stations, keeping Iriefm and Zipfm, as the number one and number two stations respectively in Jamaica.
With new investments in the stations and keeping the company on cutting edge of technology, he pushed an expansion in social media, keeping the stations rooted in the Jamaican culture.
The family of Chad Young along with the management and staff of Iriefm and Zip103fm, are expressing gratitude for the outpouring of affection and condolence on the death of the company's CEO.
The company is expressing its deep sorrow over Mr. Young's passing.
