Christina Aguilera is reportedly expecting a baby girl.
The singer was apparently performing at a fan event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday when she announced the baby's gender, JustJared.com reports.
This will be her first child with fiance Matthew Rutler. The 33-year-old already has six-year-old son Max with ex-husband Jordan Bratman.
News of Christina's pregnancy first broke in February, just weeks after she announced her engagement to Matthew.
"He asked and I said.." the singer tweeted on Valentine's Day, with a snapshot of her diamond engagement ring.
Christina has spoken in the past of how important motherhood is to her, saying her son provides the ultimate joy and fulfillment.
According to the songstress, being a parent completely changed her life.
'He is my heart he is my world, he's just my baby,' she previously told Dateline NBC.
The star grew up in an abusive household, and has made it clear she wants Max to never have to go through what she did. Christina has made it clear she will always protect her child from the troubles she endured growing up.
'I am definitely accomplishing that goal thus far. No matter what, I know he is in an environment that makes him very safe,' she said.
'Growing up I did not feel safe,' she told E! News in 2011. 'Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from.'
