"I get it from my mama" says Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande credits her mother with her business acumen.

The 20-year-old singer has worked in showbiz since the age of 14 and despite still being so young, she handles herself like a pro, according to Joan Grande.

The matriarch took to Twitter on Tuesday to gush about her famous daughter and how she's blossomed into such a smart woman.

'@joangrande: Just heard my daughter on a conference call.Quite a businesswoman! Can't say idk [I don't know] where she gets it from,' the matriarch wrote with a smile (sic).

Ariana was quick to respond, retweeting her mother's remark and adding one of her own.

I get it from my mama,' the songstress wrote.

Ariana skyrocketed to fame last year, with her debut album, Yours Truly, topping charts around the world.

The Baby I hitmaker, who made her Broadway debut in 2007 in the musical 13, was already a rising star thanks to roles in Nickelodeon's hit teen TV comedies iCarly and Sam & Cat at the time of her album's release.

She's now working with some of music's biggest stars, although she recently admitted her career has not been without its hurdles.

Last week, Ariana confirmed her duet with Chris Brown had been delayed due to his ongoing legal troubles.

The track, entitled Don't Be Gone Too Long, was recently postponed for reasons unknown to Ariana, although she revealed there would be a silver lining.

"Now you'll be getting my 1st single off my new album sooner. dbgtl will come out just a little later than expected thank u for understanding,' she wrote (sic). 'I'll keep you updated.'
