Taking the stage, and clearly embracing his conversion to the Rastafarian faith, Bugle started his set with his 2007 breakout hit Exercise, which was followed by his impressive catalogue of uplifting tunes such as Don't Blame Life, What Have I DonetoYou and Journey. The easily relatable themes and messages in his songs, which have defined Bugle as a self-aware artiste, were well received by the patrons.
'The Billboard Selecta' DJ Boom Boom and Harry Hype spun the latest tunes on the turntables all night, while Sigar had MC duties.
Big Vibes is an ongoing event held at the Red Stripe Oval on Spanish Town Rd which brings together music and Red Stripe's collection of beers and spirits, and the people who love them both.
Big Vibes has been known to live up to its name, featuring some of the island's hottest DJs and dancehall artistes, entertaining thousands on the Oval. The week before Bugle's performance, Agent Sasco had the crowd glued to his every lyric, and more top performers are scheduled to appear in the coming months.
"It really is a big celebration with our consumers - especially the ones in close proximity to our offices on Spanish Town Road. Red Stripe, Heineken and Guinness can be enjoyed for as little as $150 and while it's bigger savings, we remind everyone to drink in moderation and Drink Right," said Kamal Powell, Brand PR Manager at Red Stripe.
