Convicted entertainer Adidja ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer was a short while ago transferred from the Supreme Court downtown Kingston to begin his prison sentence.
A huge crowd of court workers, police officers and others gathered as Kartel, showing no signs of emotion, flashed the now famous Gaza sign before being placed in the prison truck.
The entertainer was heading to the Horizon Remand Centre on Spanish Town Road in Kingston. It is uncertain where he will eventually serve his life sentence.
Kartel and three co-accused; Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St John, were sentenced to life in prison earlier in the day for the August 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.
