The annual music festival spans two weekends, and will once again kick of this coming Friday.
Musical giants such as Blondie, Pharrell Williams and Outkast played sets to delighted fans at the festival set in the Californian desert from April 11-13.
New Zealand born pop princess Lorde took to the Outdoor Theatre stage on Saturday to wow fans with her hits, including number-one track Royals.
"coachella week 1 all done, and we go out with blister feet and dusty hair and most importantly happy ears! goodnight freaks; we love you so (sic)," Lorde tweeted her fans.
"also, finally had the pleasure of seeing my friends do their thing while i boogied in the crowd. ARCAAAADE FIIIRE (sic)," she captioned a photo of the Canadian band.
The stars and festival-goers had to battle with desert sand storms, which at points threatened to ruin the musical fun. OutKast performed together for the first time in 12 years, but the bad weather blighted their set.
Celebrities didn't let the sand get them down though, with many taking to their social media accounts to express what a good time they had.
"Such a blast DJing and sharing our #itsallgood moments at #Coachella in the Fruttare Hangout! @fruttarefruitbars @KylieJenner (sic)," Kendall Jenner told her fans.
While Emma Roberts tweeted: "Best weekend ever #coachella2014 #saturdayis ks_saturday (sic)."
Solange Knowles was joined onstage by big sister Beyoncé for a surprise performance on Saturday, which sent the crowds wild.
"Coachella!!! You were AMAZING!!!! I had so much fun! Thank you lovely ones :) (sic)," Solange posted.
