They have had encounters in the past, but Mr Vegas' latest challenge to have Bounty Killer join him in the boxing ring did not go down well with the 'Warlord'.
In a recent interview with radio host Nikki Z, Mr Vegas in response to a question said that if he were to get into the boxing ring with anyone, it would be 'Mr Cross and Angry' himself.
The entertainer then followed up with a video post on Instagram, where he was willing to put US$50,000 on the table, in the hopes that Bounty Killer would accept the challenge.
"I'm giving up the first money, $50k US. Bounty Killer and Mr Vegas in the arena boxing, Bounty Killer people get at me," he said in the video.
However, the 'Warlord' did not wait for his people to respond as he lashed out at Vegas himself via social networking site Twitter.
"Tell Gaygas go match up wid him man dem at the gym, mi nuh match up wid man or go inna ring wid man," he tweeted.
When The STAR contacted Mr Vegas to get a response to Bounty's tweet, the entertainer said the world shouldn't make much of it. "I was asked a question and I answered it. I called his name because a him a the General," he said. He also went on to say that anyone else would be no competition for him. "If mi did say Matterhorn or anybody else people would've laughed and say how mi a fight likkle girls."
The deejay is making light of Killer's response, stating that he was the one who called his (Bounty Killers) name first, thus the harsh words were somewhat expected. "Him a the general innu so what you expect him to say," he explained.
He also told The STAR that the entire name-calling issue doesn't point to anything building between the two entertainers, and maintains that it was said as a joke and isn't to be taken seriously.
"A me wrong fi call him name innu, but nothing nah gwaan man, mi just call him name because mi nuh see nobody else weh woulda match the challenge," Mr Vegas said.
