The reason for dancehall artiste Masicka recent Aidonia diss single

Though his emergence on the entertainment scene is fairly new, dancehall artiste Masicka is ready to let the music fraternity know he's no push-over.
Having already had a lyrical run-in with fellow deejay Chan Dizzy, the artiste has now turned his attention to J.O.P., leader Aidonia.
The artiste told The STAR that the feud started as a result of news he heard from persons around Aidonia, claiming the artiste wants to sabotage his career.
"Di same people dem weh deh round him tell mi say him a fight against mi and a tell producers not to voice mi songs dem," he said.
He then challenged Aidonia to confront him face to face instead of sending other members of the J.O.P to do the work for him. "Don't send them, talk outta yuh own mouth, but mi know him nah go do dat cuz him fraid a mi lyrically".
Masicka has released a song aimed at the Jackhammer singer which he says serves to expose the deejay as a fake. In the song titled The Truth, Masicka claims Aidonia is happy Vybz Kartel is imprisoned as he wants to be the one to 'run road'.
"Kartel deh a prison fi three years and him still caa run di place, dat simple mean him nuh good. Kartel still a lead him by a mile even behind bars", a part of the song says.
The entertainer also wished to silence critics who claim he is just looking to make a name for himself by calling out Aidonia.
"Mi nah look nuh hype because Aidonia anuh nuh body, him diss me and so mi diss him back. If mi did a look a hype mi woulda call Alkaline name or somebody else weh inna di spotlight, nobody don't memba Donia," he said.
The young deejay vowed that the feud would remain lyrical as he has a certain character to maintain. "We ago keep it musical because a only so we war wid people".
Masicka, who is signed to Konshen's Subkonshus Records, says his team is behind him and has encouraged him to defend himself. "That is what I love about Subkonshus, they respect your creativity and give you your space to be yourself, but at the same time, we nah go prolong di ting and draw it out".
The fast-rising deejay recently collaborated with the Pepsi ambassador on the single Money which has been receiving rave reviews. He also just released the video for his single Heaven and says a collaboration with Konshen's brother Delus is also in the pipelines.
"This year will be my year. We are putting in the work and it soon pay off," he said.
