Dancehall artist Stylysh set for European shows in June

Guzu Music recording artiste Stylysh will be embarking on a major six-week stint in Europe beginning next month.
The artiste will perform at gigs in The Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Denmark, and Norway.
"Last year, I went to Europe for the first time, so this trip will be even better because I have gained more experience in terms of my performance and song selection, as well as being better able to handle the European press. So I am looking forward to this trip," the 25-year-old artiste said.
She has been boosted by recent releases such as Gypsy on the Punjabi rhythm for UIM Records, and Welcomeon MC Nuffy's Nail Dem rhythm. She will also be shooting a video for the popular Gypsy single next week.
"The feedback on Gypsy has been very good on the streets. Plus, I have a hot, new song, If Mi Man a Gimme Bun,which will be released from Seanizzle Records, and a Secret Lovers single featuring Ishawna for the producer Hitmaker. Both singles will be released later this month," said Stylish.
Other upcoming projects include songs for Chase Mills Records and UIM Records.
Although the past year has been a challenging one for Stylysh, she has continued to grow and evolve as an artiste. Next month, she plans to showcase her skills during a 'Stylysh in Concert' event with a live backing band in the lounge area of the Quad nightclub.
Known for her break-out hit Mi A Wife for So Unique Records two years ago, Stylysh has continued to hone her craft. She is a member of Tommy Lee Sparta's Guzu camp of artistes. Sparta was, however, charged on February 14 for breaches of the Anti-Lottery Act. He is now on $400,000 bail, but his shows have not been affected by his legal issues.
"The last year has been both rewarding and challenging. I have learnt a lot from Tommy and just his approach towards the challenges that face him that look potentially harmful to his career. Tommy's quiet, focused approach takes him past it, so it seems like just another stepping stone. That gives me the confidence that nothing can stop me from realiing my dreams in life no matter what the challenges may be," the deejay, born Stacie-Ann Lamoth, said.
Hailing from Waterford, Stylysh first launched into the spotlight as a contestant in the 2011 Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall talent contest.
Over the past year, she has performed in countries such as Suriname, Costa Rica, and Guyana. She also made her debut during dancehall night at Reggae Sumfest, where she showed her spunk and verve to thousands of patrons. She also wowed at Sting 2013.
"Just look for big things from Stylysh this year," she said, beaming, "and you can follow me on Twitter @stylyshsparta, on Instagram @StylyshSparta, and Facebook stylysh Sparta."
