RDX TALKS ABOUT KARTELS EXPERIENCE IN HELL

Vybz Kartel's recent trial and current state of being may be the biggest lesson the dancehall community has received in a few years. Dancehall super duo, RDX, has used this lesson as the basis for their new intense single, 'Hell'.

In many religious traditions and beliefs, hell is considered a place of eternal torment; for RDX, hell is synonymous with incarceration or the loss of one's basic freedom.

The single encourages people to enjoy their freedom and never to take it for granted, as life behind bars is no bed of rose. The song also speaks to society's two classes: the ruling and the ruled, comparing similar unlawful activities that are carried out by both classes, and society's perception of these actions.

At a time when the music industry is being criticised for releasing songs with poor lyrical content or no substance, the Apartment 19 label and RDX will have fans listening to the actual words of this introspective track and, hopefully, take heed to the message being delivered by the duo.

"Hell tackles sensitive topics such as freedom, segregation, oppression and social mobility; a real social commentary track which differs greatly from our current releases, but that is the versatility that RDX brings to the table", Delomar X reiterated.

Previous hits by RDX, Ride It and Lose Yourself, featuring Major Lazer, have both surpassed one million views on YouTube. The duo is promoting their summer girls' anthem, Bum, a track to be featured on their Bangers album, also set for a summer release. They leave the island later this month for a European tour.
