The Foreign Affairs Ministry says it has brought the case involving entertainer Tommy Lee Sparta to the attention of the Dominican authorities.
It adds that its awaiting a response from that Caribbean country.
The response from the Foreign Affairs Ministry follows a letter to the ministry from Tommy Lee's Attorney Burt Samuels.
The entertainer and three members of his entourage were deported from Dominica in February.
Speaking with the the Artiste's Attorney At Law today, Mr. Samuels says they are now awaiting the outcome, before they decide their next move.
