new artiste Sha Quan, Mavado 'Murder' hit bbc charts

Ultra-talented new artiste Sha Quan is on the verge of a major breakthrough in reggae-dancehall with her brilliant feature on the Mavado combination hit, Murder, which hit the top five of the BBC 1 Xtra dancehall charts recently.
"The feedback has been incredible; over 40,000 views on youtube, and over 10,000 on at least four others. The song was on the BBC charts as well. I have got a lot of exposure and the buzz has been so great that Mavado has decided to do a video for the song," she said.
The song has also made it to a number of local mixtapes and is getting regular rotation on IRIE, ZIP and HITZ FM.
"Mi just want to big up every selector and every disc jockey who a give me and Mavado song the real play and anybody want dubs, just link and mi forward," she said."Now, I finally have my combination song with Mavado and the world is starting to pay attention. mi believe inna God and He has made my dreams a reality so mi just have to give thanks everyday."
A current member of GSP (Gully Side a Peppa Dem), Mavado's fledgling dancehall group, Sha Quan has generated a lot of attention for her sexy, breathy vocals and her dancehall flair, edgy outfits and unique fashion sense.
Born Roxanne Genius on March 14, 1992, she grew up in Stony Hill, St Andrew, and is a past student of Oberlin High School. She officially started doing music in 2008 where she recorded a number of songs for Voiceful Records and did a few collaborations.
