AZEALIA BANKS RELEASED FROM UNIVERSAL RECORDS

It appears up and coming rapper Azealia Banks’ hardened campaign efforts to get out of her deal have finally paid off.
The troublemaking talent, who has beefed with her Universal imprint and T.I. in the recent months, took to her Twitter account fresh from the 2014 Wireless Festival to announce the big news. In all caps undoubtedly, “IM ABOUT TO GET OUT OF MY DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS THE BIG SURPRISE!!!!!,” she tweeted before comparing the situation to that of slavery times. “I’S IS FREE!!!!!! I’m feeling like miss Celie at the end of color purple. Free at last.
Racially charged discussion aside, it has been a long time coming for the 23-year-old Harlem native who has seen her progression stalled as her and the label have been at odds for some time now.
She blamed Pharrell and the label for under promoting her 2013 single, “ATM Jam” and even couldn’t get them to sanction her Soundcloud account.
All the beef and backlash has resulted her in failing to release an album since her inception to the general public in 2011. According to Banks however, all that is about to change.
By the looks of it, seems like they wanted to get rid of her too with all that unwanted controversy she's been involved in lately.
