Dancehall artiste Mr Easy is taking another crack at chart success with his new single, No Mercy, for producer Kimani 'DJ Frass' Palmer.
The song has been enjoying favourable airplay on FM radio. Given the early buzz, he has fast-tracked plans to shoot a video for the project this week.
"The fans ah gravitate towards the song, I am getting a lot of requests for dubs and jingles overseas from disc jockeys and selectors, so I know that there is a growing buzz around the song," Mr Easy said.
Mr Easy is also promoting another new song, Snatch Girl, a collaboration with rookie deejay Motion. A video for that single has already been released and is in rotation on HYPE, RE, MD TV and E Plus.
Born in Kingston , Mr Easy (Ian Dyer) grew up in east Kingston and Trelawny listening to musical heroes like Dennis Brown and roots deejay Brigadier Jerry. He migrated to the United States at age 15, but kept in tune with his roots through New York City's vibrant reggae scene.
After making a link with Dave Kelly, he scored notable hits such as Bruk Out, Murder,Funny Man, alongside Baby Cham, and Rain Again, one of the most popular tunes on the 'Showtime' rhythm.
He spent recent years touring and spending time with family. He is ready to take on the dancehall again.
"Mr. Easy is ready to rock the dancehall again," he said.
