Fifth Harmony unveiled a rhythmic, more mature sound -- and scored its highest-charting Hot 100 single -- with "Bo$$" earlier this summer, and the pop quintet brought the hard-charging hit to the MTV Video Music Awards pre-show on Sunday night (Aug. 24).
Performing outside of The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., the ladies of 5H were backed by six male backup dancers toting red horns, pantomiming along with the boisterous single's horn riffs before the group left the stage to strut on the red carpet. Before song's end, Fifth Harmony were standing in the bleachers, showing who's "Bo$$" while flanked by shouting fans.
Fifth Harmony has enjoyed a busy 2014 prior to hitting the VMAs pre-show: the former X Factor stars opened for Demi Lovato on her Neon Lights tour, and joined the Vamps and Shawn Mendes opening for Austin Mahone on the road this summer. "Bo$$" debuted at No. 43 on the Hot 100 chart upon its release in July.
The sassy single previews Fifth Harmony's debut album Reflection, due out on Nov. 17. "Them Girls Be Like" dropped earlier this week as the second release from the album, and 5H also performed the new song "We Know" during a Billboard studio session in July.
