Rap diva Nicki Minaj is getting sued for acting like a rap diva.
The hip hop superstar was sued in Manhattan Supreme Court yesterday (Wed) for allegedly showing up late and then leaving early during an appearance at an NBA All Star event in 2011.
The suit says the “Starships” rapper had agreed to show up at Hollywood’s Siren Studios at midnight and perform for an hour, but she showed up 90 minutes late and was on stage for less than 30 minutes.
The suit on behalf of the show’s producer, IMP Entertainment. It says Minaj, was paid over 50 thousand dollars to cover her fees and expenses before the February 19, 2011 concert and her abbreviated appearance “defeated the entire purpose of the agreement.”
It wants the cash back and other unspecified damages.
