Dancehall artiste Elephant Man collabs with Rapper


Dancehall artiste Elephant Man has released a dancing song called 'Shmoney Dance', in support of US-based Jamaican rapper Bobby Shmurda, who currently has the most sampled song in the US called 'Hot Nia'.
The deejay, known for his energetic dance singles, recently collaborated with Bobby Shmurda for a Jamaican-inspired music video to the song. The video was produced by Bobby Shmurda's camera crew and, according to Elephant Man, the rapper is excited that Jamaicans are catching on to the dance move.
"Bobby Shmurda dem love the thing and Hot 97 dem a blast off mi song already. Wah day ya mi deh New York and a pure vibes with Shmurda and the rest of the Shmoney team and dem respect the work. A dem film the video because dem wah mek sure sey everything correct, and Wednesday (today) when it drop, the reception will tell the rest," Elephant Man said.
According to the artiste who also performed on BET's '106 and Park' recently, the Shmoney dance is simple and will have the dancehall in frenzy.
"A we sey dancing as Jamaicans and we sey Shmoney right now. Is a Jamaican youth song and him a spread dah Jamaican dancing vibe deh inna the US and we respect that, so we a join the movement and spread it. Dem man deh nuh leave out Jamaica. right now, if yu check out dem man deh Instagram page a straight Jamaica him a talk bout suh a real youth and wi support youth," Elephant Man said.
Bobby Shmurda is also gearing up to release a remix for Hot Nia, which will feature several Jamaican artistes. An American remix, featuring commercial rappers, is also in the making. The young rapper was recently invited on tour with Drake and Lil Wayne.
