Adeeno aims high

UP-AND-COMING singjay Adeeno said he is hoping to get his break with his latest single It's All In a Day's Work.
Released in May, the single tackles issues employees face on the job.
"Any hardworking person can relate to this one. It relates to some of the encounters that we are faced with on a daily basis, while we try to earn an honest bread," Adeeno told the Jamaica Observer.
He said the feedback so far has been positive.
"Among the feedback is that my lyrics are very imaginative and that is extremely important to me... ," he said.
Adeeno, whose given name is Dean Spencer, is a past student of Norman Manley High School in Kingston.
He said he got his first shot at music in his early teens when his friends convinced him to perform on the weekly Sunday stage shows in his Maxfield Park community in St Andrew.
With that newfound confidence, Adeeno said he ventured out.
"I entered a competition at the Asylum nightclub in Kingston and walked away with the winning prize of $10,000. That boosted my confidence even further," he said.
In 2007, the 28-year-old entertainer said he realised the importance of providing for his family and began working as a mason.
"Music was, however, not far from my thoughts so two years later I decided to balance both music and my day job," he said.
Among his other releases are Cylinder Empty, Roses, Girls and Mr Lawman.
