D'Angel goes back to basics. Artists promoting her music in the streets

Dancehall artiste D'Angel says she has returned to her grass roots by promoting her music in the streets. "Mi a do road, man. I am really out."
"D'Angel buss D'Angel, so I just took it up on myself to start doing road hard. As an artiste, you have to promote, and the streets is where it is at. You can't stay in your house and buss your music," she told THE STAR.
D'Angel says she frequents most of the weekly events, including Boasy Tuesdays, All Star Thursdays, Hot Mondays, Bounty Sundays and Nipples Tuesdays, which recently gave her an award for being the 'Most Supporting Artiste'.
"The streets buss me, so I decided to take it back to the grass roots, but I still want to big up the radio disc jocks who have been supportive of my career over the years," she said.
She said it is also important for her to connect with her fans. "Dancehall is hardcore and you have to build your credibility. At the end of the day, you have to interact with your fans because they come to your stage shows and they buy your music. They are the ones that build you," D'Angel said.
Describing herself as a 24-hour mother, D'Angel's time management is also very important.
Nonetheless, she said this new street approach has been bearing fruit.
"The buzz is out there and social media is kicking. I am all over the place, locally and abroad. All of this promotion will create awareness for D'Angel worldwide," she said.
She added that she is also busy promoting songs like Ramp Ruff and Tie Man, which have been receiving decent response.
In addition, D'Angel said she is also gearing up for the Jamaican premiere of the movie Jamaican Mafia, in which she played a role.
She said fans can get a taste of her daily life by following her Instagram page, @dangel_music, where she does her Instagram series, DAConnection.
