HANDFUL of fans turns out to T.O.K 15 years celebration

A HANDFUL of fans and supporters turned out at the Famous Club in Portmore, Saturday to celebrate vocal group T.O.K's 15th anniversary.
Despite the low turnout, there was an energetic vibe as the quartet gave a spectacular performance. Suited in black and white, T.O.K (Alistaire 'Alex' McCalla, Xavier 'Flexx' Davidson, Roshaun 'Bay-C' Clarke, and Craig 'Craigy T' Thompson) took the dance floor at 3:30 am.
From the first notes of Shell it Dung, the group had the modest audience rocking.
There was a moment of youthful exuberance on the part of Flexx.
Caught up in the excitement of their performance, he climbed the bar counter but soon came crashing down as the section on which he stood crumbled.
Most people in the club, including a slightly embarrassed Flexx, doubled over in laughter.
"I am so sorry, I never come to mash up the place. Please send me the bill," Flexx said to the club's management.
Continuing their set, TOK took fans down memory lane and had them singing to songs like Gyal You a Lead, Guardian Angel, Footprints, Chi Chi Man, and Top A Topa.
Guest performances came from deejays Buccaneer and Suku from Ward 21, and Canadian singjay Kreesha Turner.
Before asking a few female fans to help cut an anniversary cake, TOK thanked fans for their support.
To mark their 15th anniversary, the group has released a three-track EP entitled Taking Over. Produced by the group's XCAR Records, it was released last Tuesday.
