Jah Cure Under new management

Singer Jah Cure has new management. He is Gary 'Dr Dread' Himelfarb, founder of RAS Records.
In a recent interview with Splash, Himelfarb said he and Jah Cure formalised their association in September when he was in Jamaica.
Himelfarb succeeds Robert Livingston, who handled Jah Cure's career for just over one year. The three met and discussed the transition during Himelfarb's recent visit to Kingston.
"The difference I bring to the table is that I am Dr Dread and have many connections within the music industry. Much of my success can be attributed to the fact that I have a clear vision of the big picture with the ability to focus on the small details," Himelfarb said.
Jah Cure had a number of hit songs while incarcerated for rape, including the anthems Longing For and True Reflection.
Since his release from prison in 2007, he has enjoyed a handful of chart entries, the most recent being a cover of John Legend's All of Me.
Himelfarb launched RAS in his hometown of Washington, DC in 1981. It was a leading distributor of reggae for almost 30 years.
Himelfarb plans to oversee the release of several singles by Jah Cure leading up to the launch of an album titled, The Cure, in March.
