The name Ryme Minista may be new to some, but is prominent in the streets throughout western Jamaica.
The reigning underground king has been belting out hits in the dancehall and is well known for taking jabs at fellow entertainer, Alkaline, with 'diss' records making the rounds on the Internet. The St James-based artiste's sudden surge has impressed the promoters of Magnum Sting 2014, which led to securing his services early.
Ryme Minista has sturdy support from his hometown, Glendevon, Montego Bay, and is gaining respect as a hardcore lyricist.
Internationally-recognised deejay Mavado recently collaborated with the fast-rising star on the track, Kill And Get Weh. The track has garnered significant attention and is breaking new ground throughout the Caribbean and beyond. This has triggered a spike in bookings, with his debut overseas performance confirmed for Costa Rica.
Ryme Minista said he is now focused on his most anticipated appearance to date, Magnum Sting 2014.
