EVEN with a strong social media campaign led by former winner Tessanne Chin, Jamaica-born singer Anita Antoinette failed to make it as a wildcard in The Voice's final round on Wednesday.
Antoinette, 25, was one of nine wildcard hopefuls. She was eclipsed by Damien Lawson, who became the first ever wildcard finalist.
Displaying more vocal control and confidence, Antoinette gave a great rendition of John Mayer's Waiting for the World to Change. However, it was ultimately not enough.
In addition to Lawson, Matt McAndrew, Craig Wayne Boyd and Chris Jamison are in next week's final.
Now in its eigth season, The Voice is a television talent show aired on American network, NBC.
