He is banking on his latest single, Ghetto Prayer, which will be released on December 13 on the Reggae Fever Innovation label. The track, according to him, is a social commentary which offers encouragement.
"I know there are lots of other talents out there, but I am confident if I continue to push good, quality songs, it will eventually take off," he told the Jamaica Observer.
Hailing from the district of Rennals in St Catherine, the 32-year-old said he was inspired by artistes including Sizzla, Capleton, Luciano and Bob Marley.
"Marley served as a voice in his time...music is meant for healing and good vibes and that's what I am about. If ever there is a time when people need this kind of encouragement, it's now," he said.
Ryveela, whose given name is Kalroy Anderson, recorded his first song in 2005 entitled Care No More. His other releases include Iron Dog, Hustling Woman and Scorcher.
