Dancehall star Blak Ryno recently inked a distribution, booking and recording deal with JA Productions, which will see him releasing his first album within the next couple of months.
A former member of Vybz Kartel's Portmore Empire, Blak Ryno has emerged as one of the most exciting acts in local dancehall since his clash victory over Kiprich at Sting 2013.
"I am just happy that I have been able to forge a partnership with Justus. He has always believed in my talents as an artiste and I feel that this is the best business decision for me to move forward with my career," Ryno said.
For his part, JA Productions label president Justus Arison said t Ryno is a "one-of-a-kind artiste who can up the ante and push dancehall music to the global stage."
"Ryno is very talented and we are going to experiment with a lot of sounds with this album. Fans are going to be very surprised to hear what Ryno can do vocally on this album. He is a brilliant artiste who can convey all kind of emotions with his music," Arison said.
The album, produced by JA Productions, will be released later this year. Ryno is excited.
"Right now, we are looking at a 14-track album, which will be released later this year. We have completed about nine tracks so far. This album cuts across a lot of genres, I am excited about where my career is going, musically," he said.
Blak Ryno has also been getting mainstream airplay on major radio stations such as IRIE, HITZ and RJR with his latest effort, Side Chick. On the single, Ryno channels his inner Sean Kingston (Make Up Your Mind) as he expresses his love for his girl on the side.
