Brown 'enters rehab'

Chris Brown has reportedly checked into rehab for anger management.

The 24-year-old singer entered an undisclosed treatment facility in the Los Angeles area on Tuesday, TMZ reports.

A source tells the outlet Chris' attorney, Mark Geragos, dropped him off.

The move would come amid reports the Los Angeles County Probation Department is investigating whether or not the star violated his probation following an alleged altercation in Washington, D.C. at the weekend.

Chris is facing a misdemeanour assault charge after alleged victim Isaac Parker accused the singer of punching him in the nose when he tried to photobomb a picture the star was taking with a female fan.

The star spent a day and a half in a Washington, D.C. jail following the incident and was released Monday without bail.

His bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, was reportedly charged with the same count. Various media reports suggest it was actually Hollosy who threw the punch.

Chris pleaded not guilty during his arraignment on Monday.

The singer remains on probation for his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

He could reportedly face up to 180 days in jail if convicted in the latest criminal case and an additional four years in prison if an investigation conducted by the probation department determines he violated the terms of his probation.

The star is scheduled to appear in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom November 20, according to the New York Daily News.

A spokesperson for Chris has yet to comment publicly on his alleged rehab stint.
