Ex runner-up critiques the contestants and offers some advice to hopefuls like Snooki and 'Glee' actress Amber Riley.
Disney star Zendaya Coleman seemed to be a good bet to take home the Mirror Ball trophy on last season's "Dancing With the Stars," but the youngest contestant ever to compete on the ABC show watched it go to another hopeful, Kellie Pickler.
But Zendaya isn't holding any grudges. And when she stopped by the MTV Newsroom on Monday (October 14), she revealed that between releasing her self-titled debut album and a tween advice book, she's still been managing to keep up with the show. In fact, she had one very important tip, especially for the ladies.
"My number one [piece of] advice was your feet get messed up during that show, and I was the only one that did not get a blister. Why? Because I made Val [Chmerkovskiy, my partner] let me wear sneakers as long as possible until he forced me to not wear them," Zendaya explained. "Wear socks with your shoes so that you don't rub up against them and, at night, [rub] Vaseline all over your foot in a sock. ... so I hope that helps."
The Replay singer wasn't only on hand to give advice, though. MTV News gave Zendaya the chance to go from the ballroom to the judges' table by showing her four dances from a few of the current season's contestants. Judge Len Goodman should watch out because she had some serious critiques!
Snooki Dances The Quickstep
The ex-"Jersey Shore" star to be improving every week, but it's herquickstep that scored a season-best 25/30 in the third week. Snooki even channeled her cheerleading days with a one-handed cartwheel. Zendaya was equally impressed, saying, "She looks like she's having fun.

"She's doing great; that's one of the hardest ones because you're constantly moving and jumping all over the place. Every time, I would be so out of breath I hated that dance so much," Zendaya said of the quickstep. "I think she's doing better than people expected, and she's small so she's easy to whip around. I'm impressed Snooki, good job."
Grade: A
Corbin Bleu Dancing The Paso Doble
In a three-way tie for first place on last week's show, ex "High School Musical" star Corbin Bleu scored a 27/30 and brought heat with his Paso Doble. The number included plenty of his abs and a slap from partner Karina Smirnoff. Yet while Zendaya thought he "really works hard and really wants to be good," she still had some criticism.

"He's doing good — the Paso is so hard; I like it. I just wish they would do more things together," she explained. "Everyone is dancing separately I want to see them dance together because that's what partner dancing is about," she added. "Did anyone else notice that we have more people with dancing backgrounds on this season on 'Dancing With the Stars'?"

Amber Riley Does The Charleston
The "Glee" star gave a fierce performance on last week's show as she tangoed to the top of the leader board, scoring three more points from her week-three dance, the Charleston. But that only gave Riley 24/30 points, and Zendaya knows exactly why.

"It starts off cute, but I'm waiting for the dance to start," Zendaya said. "I just wish they started dancing earlier because, me, we would literally like stand and go straight to dancing because that's what everyone wants to see anyway. It's cute, though. It looks like they are having fun. I think she's been doing really great."

Christina Milian Dances The Foxtrot
Milian was sexy and sultry for her sharp, fast-paced foxtrot but she still couldn't manage to break away from the pack. Zendaya had a tip that could help her to finally get to the top of the leader board.

"[Milian and Mark Ballas] are waiting too long to get to the dances. That's when you want to save time because it's a hard, hard show and I completely understand," she said. "You're like, 'Let's do some stuff before we have to get into the dance,' because you have so much time to fill. So I get the reason why they did that, but I wish they would have gotten into it earlier," Zendays continued. "I think she's doing good because I hated all the dancing that had to do with frames, so she's doing good."
