Newly discovered super toxin is the deadliest substance ever

Just in case you didn't have enough to worry about, scientists at the California Department of Public Health have stumbled upon something else to keep you up at night. A previously undiscovered eighth toxin in the family of botulinum is the most savage yet, with an injection of just 2 billionths of a gram or an inhalation of 13 billionths of a gram being enough to kill an adult. The killer blocks the chemical that makes nerves work and causes death by paralysis, and Stanford Medical School professor David Relman called it "an immediate and unusually serious risk to society." The only good news: As no antidote has been developed, the DNA sequence is being withheld from public purview lest it be synthesized by potential terrorists.
