Willie Nelson tour bus crash

One of Willie Nelson's tour busses was involved in an accident Saturday morning when it hit an icy patch on Texas I-30 near Sulphur Springs.

Nelson was not on the bus at the time; however, three of his band members were injured, one seriously. They were transported to the Sulphur Springs hospital. No names have been released or further details on the injuries.

According to sources, the weather at the time was both windy and icy, causing the bus to skid into a bridge abutment.

Welson's website announced the accident and added that the balance of his current tour had been suspended.
Willie Nelson's band bus (not Willie's bus) was in an accident overnight on icy I-30. 3 members of the family were hospitalized. Additional information will be released as we get it.

This year's Willie Nelson tour has been suspended indefinitely. We will post more when it becomes available.
Update (3:09 PM EST): Willie Nelson's website has been updated with information that the three band members that were hospitalized after the accident only have minor injuries and that the tour will resume in December:
The band's bus (Willie was in his own bus) crashed along I-30 around 3:30 AM when it hit a bridge pillar - about 80 miles east of Dallas. We believe it is due to icy conditions on the road. No one suffered serious injuries. Paul English injured his ankle, Billy English suffered a bruised hip and crew member Tom Hawkins has a cracked rib. The other family members on the bus are sore but everyone is expected to recover fully.

The last four dates in November have been postponed and the tour resumes as scheduled in December.
