Bieber escapes to Panama

Justin Bieber has jet to Panama in the wake of his DUI arrest.

The 19-year-old singer landed in the Central American country Saturday morning, according to TMZ, and could be seen in photos published by the website walking along the beach with a group of friends.

Among the group was Justin's new 'gal pal' Chantel Jeffries, a model who was pictured with the singer several times in Miami.

The legal drinking age in Panama is 18, three years younger than in the US, where Justin was busted Thursday morning.

The singer was in Miami, Florida, where he was arrested for driving under the influence after cops caught him drag racing on city streets.

Justin was subsequently released from jail on a $2,500 bond.

While the pop star may be trying his best to keep a low-profile, he has been using social media to keep his fans updated.

On Friday, he posted a message to his 'Beliebers', alluding to his arrest and urging them to always believe in themselves.

'YOU ARE ALL WORTHY NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS >> BE STRONG GOD IS WITH US ALL> MY BELIEBERS CHANGED MY LIFE> I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL (sic),' the teenager wrote.

The message followed an Instagram post on Friday which showed Justin waving to fans following his jail release. The photo was juxtaposed with a similar image of Michael Jackson after the late pop star was found not guilty of child molestation charges back in January 2004.

'What more can they say?' he captioned the image.

Justin is charged with resisting arrest without violence, driving on an expired licence and driving under the influence.
CBS Miami reports he is expected to appear in court next Monday.
