Downsound, Ninja Man to celebrate birthday at Turtle River Park

Downsound Records will make the transition into the New Year by playing host to Ninja Man's birthday party, set to take place on January 25 at Turtle River Park in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

According to the veteran deejay who took the responsibility to personally find the artistes, he has already confirmed with Beres Hammond, Chronixx, Bounty Killer, Lady Saw, Capleton, and the Downsound force, with many more to come.
This will be second time running that Ninja Man, real name Desmond Ballentine, has opted to use the said venue, given the successes it garnered last year.
Literally being begged by the large turnout, the Ocho Rios police were forced to extend the time to 5 a.m. as many patrons were still waiting to see their preferred acts. They were treated to some incredible performances from the likes of Ninja Man himself, Bounty Killer, Lady Saw and the 'fire man', Capleton.
The fans were also privileged to see both Ninja Man and Bounty Killer performing together on stage for the first time in many years. The highlight of the event, however, was Lady Saw's 20-minute, action-filled performance of her mega hit song, Heels On.
The anticipated appearance of rising reggae star Chronixx and the ever-smooth-yet-deadly Beres Hammond will surely be the two main talking points leading up to the event.
Since reuniting with Downsound Records, Ninja Man has seen an upsurge in popularity and new life injected into his career. He has taken on a new initiative to stay away from trouble and focus solely on his music, which has yielded great dividends for him and his management team at the Kingston-based record company.
Ninja Man will be going on a major European tour in 2014 which is being organised by Downsound Records, Contractor Music Marketing and a very prominent Polish promoter.
Ninja Man's birthday bash will also be marketed by Contractor Music Marketing.
