Dancehall-reggae female artiste Black Queen was roundly booed at the Ninja Man's Birthday Bash recently after she released a slew of expletives in anger after she felt slighted that Macka Diamond and D'Angel chose to perform before the less well-known females.
She issued a public apology to the public via Facebook saying:
"I apologise for my behaviour, I was angry and allowed the heat of the moment to get the better of me ... I was enraged. Still, my behaviour is inexcusable and I hope my fans will be able to forgive me. It will not happen again."
Black Queen has had a long-time friendship with Macka Diamond but in recent weeks, the friendship appears to have been strained and this latest outburst only shows how the nature of their relationship has changed.
"The problem is that I thought Macka was my friend and she has always complained that Lady Saw does things like that, go up before the young females who are not as established, so when she did that, it made me upset, but me and Macka no have no problem in real life or nothing," Black Queen said.
Last year, Black Queen surprised fans by going raunchy with her scorching single, Up Inna We Belly featuring selector Boom Boom and a mad intro by dancer Sadiki. The single, recorded on Portmore-based Macho Kid's label, did well at Kingston's numerous street dances and a sexy video got a lot of rotation.
Black Queen first made a name for herself with her R&B-flavoured Roll With Me, which did exceptionally well on the CVM Hitlist countdown, peaking at No. 3 on the chart. But afterwards, she scored a major hit with You Say, that peaked at No. 1 on the FIWI Choice top 10 charts.
