AMERICAN rapper Wale is featured on deejay Spragga Benz's Red Square Productions' Suburb riddim.
The dancehall beat sees the rapper collaborating with fellow Maybach Music Group signee, deejay Magazeen, on Twerkin Cyrus.
Magazeen, a Jamaican who migrated to the United States, once recorded under the name Reagan.
Wale said he was pleased to be featured on the Suburb riddim.
"It was a great pleasure to get involved with my bredrin Magazeen on this dancehall project. Be on the lookout for much more. We have more dancehall collaborations in store," he told the Jamaica Observer.
The 30-year-old Wale, whose given name is Olubowale Akintimehin, is no stranger to the island and dancehall music.
"I love the support that I get from my fans in Jamaica. I am definitely a big fan of the music from Jamaica. I would like to collaborate with artistes including Beenie Man. Big-ups to my Marley family," he said.
Currently, signed to rapper Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group label, Wale's albums include Attention Deficit, Ambition, and Gifted. The latter has sold over 400,000 copies to date.
He was nominated for a Grammy in 2013 and is the recipient of two BET Awards and two Soul Train Music Awards.
Red Square is the name given to a section of the East Kingston community of McIntyre Villa. In recent times, that community has been plagued by a series of gruesome murders.
Veteran deejay Spragga Benz, whose given name is Carlton Grant, once resided there. He subsequently named his label Red Square Productions.
The Suburb riddim also features Spragga Benz, Amlak, Taiji, Jay-5, Kemmikal, Jahfrica, Xyclone, Askel, Natty Chris and Bittah.
