THE Jamaica Reggae Industry Association-organised Reggae Wednesday concert series continued at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Complex in St Andrew.
Dubbed Progressions, the event showcased reggae music's younger crop of talent. It also highlighted the fact that the music was in safe hands.
Headliner Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid, Exco Levi and Dre Island gave excellent performances.
The Smile Jamaica singer's well-choregraphed set included a version of Bob Marley's Slave Driver. He also used the opportunity to blast corrupt officials and politicans.
Kabaka Pyramid scored well with Capitalist and Ready Fi Di Road. His collab with Masicka on Choppings was well received.
The Raging Fyah band has always represented well and kept the audience enthralled with Don't Worry, Back To My First Love and Judgement Day.
Back-to-back Juno award winner Exco Levi proved he deserved his place in the line-up with an energetic stint as he delivered hits including Bleaching Shop and In
The Streets.
Other performances came from Pentateuch, the rock-inspired Skygrass, Sabrina, Sage and Junior Sky, who included veteran DJ Cutty Ranks to his set.
Special mention must be made of opening act Akwaaba, who thrilled with ancestral drumming and dance.
