SIZZLA PLEADED GUILTY THEN FINED FOR USE OF INDECENT LANGUAGE

Local sources have reported that Resident Magistrate Jannef Anderson today fined dancehall artiste Sizzla $1000 after the artiste appeared in the Yallahs Resident Magistrates' Court to answer charges of use of indecent language.
Sizzla, who pleaded guilty to the charges, was performing at a nightclub in South Haven earlier in the year when police turned off the sound system, as it was being played after the hours stipulated in the promoter's permit. Reports are that Sizzla turned the music on again and continued with his set.
The police then seized the equipment, after which the artiste reportedly abused them with indecent language.
Sizzla was served a summons to appear in court when he turned up at the Yallahs Police Station to retrieve the sound equipment that was confiscated by the police.
